Inspired by the “She’s Lost” compilation from 2007 (and including many of the same artists), we hope to put a new spin on known and unknown tracks from our musical past. “

“Car Crash Set were a pioneering new zealand synthpop outfit. Fall From Grace is an amazing song from their 1983 E.P Two Songs. Overshadowed from that release by the more familiar Outsider, Fall From Grace is just beautiful, world-class synthpop. Somewhat hard to find these days, but take the time to find this song. It’s perfect.

Arranged & recorded in a day, our take on the song was to sound like an industrial garage-rock band jamming on a synthpop song. 30 year-old analogue synth live looping, manually triggered samples & improvised noise guitar. A little sketchy in places, but cybernetic rock & roll usually is.”
